In addition to honoring outstanding music professionals and preserving the rich musical heritage of the area, the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame is committed to educating and presenting music to people of all ages. It is proud to be sponsoring and supporting many programs including:

  • The Annual MINE (Music Industry Networking Event)
  • Music scholarships for budding high school musicians
  • Songwriters Workshop
  • Digital Music Archiving Program
  • Musician Medics Program
  • Hall of Fame Alumni CDs featuring music previously recorded or exclusive cuts not available anywhere else
  • Local Music Festivals including Music Is Art and the M&T Bank Lunchtime Series A future goal of the BMHOF is to maintain a permanent facility including displays, plaques, memorabilia and other artifacts relating to the area's vast musical heritage.

Musician Medics

“Playing it Forward” for others in the Western New York Community

Music has long been regarded as source of healing forpatients faced with illness.  

Officially launched in January of 2013, The Buffalo MusicHall of Fame Musician Medics Program was inspired and modeled after othersimilar programs across the country with the goal of providing musical reliefto patients and families in the Western New York area. 

Local and national musicians volunteer their time to performseveral songs acoustic and talk to patients in an up close and personal setting,such as a small gathering space or an individual hospital room.
The program has entertained patients and their families atRoswell Park Cancer Institute, Veteran’s Hospital locations in Buffalo and Batavia,as well as Women & Children’s Hospital, the Buffalo City Mission and the VAAdult Day Care Center in Amherst.

2014 Annual Buffalo Music Hall of Fame’s “Denton Cottier & Daniels” Student Music Scholarship Award

Attention All WNY High School (9-11) Students: Applications for the 2014 Annual Buffalo Music Hall of Fame’s “Denton Cottier & Daniels” Student Music Scholarship Award are now available. Applications are being sent to all Western New York schools, public and private. Students can check with their Guidance Office and/or Music teachers to obtain an application.
