The Buffalo Music Hall of
Fame, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit corporation entity created for
the cultural enhancement and enrichment of Buffalo and Western
New York through the region's musicians and music history.
We exist to recognize,
honor, and preserve the history of the musical artistry from
this area which has contributed to the culture of Buffalo and of
the nation and to honor achievements of area artists who have
created a musical legacy and we educate the public about those
achievements.

In addition to
honoring outstanding musicians from the Western New York area
and preserving our rich musical heritage the Buffalo Music Hall
of Fame works to promote the music by sponsoring an Early
Childhood Music Program in the Buffalo Public Schools. Through a
grant administered by the Hall of Fame, workshops are presented
by "Strings 'n' Things", a children's musical performance group
to pre-kindergarten children at various schools. For many
children this will be their first exposure to live musical
performance. One of our future goal is to maintain a Hall
of Fame facility including displays, plaques, memorabilia and
other artifacts relating to the area's musical heritage.
The Board of Directors of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame always
welcomes new members to the board with an interest in music
(though it is not necessary to have musical talent!) who would
like to be part of this vibrant and exciting organization.
