Welcome to the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame

Musician Medics Program Brings Joy to All!

Musician Medics is a very special program of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. We are often asked what do you do and why???? This video should answer all questions. The program provides music for patients at various hospitals, including the VA and Women & Children's (W&C) Hospital. We have a number of talented and very caring volunteers, including many of our inducted members, who give 100% of themselves at every event. This was a video from April 22, 2015 at W&C with MM volunteer Vinnie DeRosa. Watch this and see the power and magic of music. This little guy has been in he hospital for over 6 months... THIS is what we do and why it is so Blessed and important. Thanks Vinnie.

"What you guys do at the hospitals is truly amazing. That little boy in the video is my son and as anyone can see he is loving life despite all the problems he's facing. The music gave him a chance to dance and be joyful and get a moment's reprieve from the issues he faces every day. Thank you."

Mission

The mission of the BMHOF is to honor, preserve, and protect the diverse musical culture and heritage of Western New York through education, scholarship, and performance and to recognize, via formal induction into the BMHOF, those individuals and groups who have made a significant impact on the music scene locally, nationally and/or internationally. Inductees are chosen by a formal nomination process from applications submitted by the public via the nomination form found on the website and the deadline for entries each year is March 31. Nominees are rated in several different categories and the new class is announced at a press conference held in the early summer. The BMHOF recognizes and formally inducts nominees at its Annual Induction Gala that is held in early October of each year.

The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame currently has a dedicated room with artifacts and memorabilia on display of some of its inducted members at the Hard Rock Café in Niagara Falls, NY. A future goal of the BMHOF is to maintain a dedicated facility including a performance space, displays, plaques, memorabilia and other artifacts relating to the area’s vast musical heritage.

The BMHOF welcomes input from past inductees and the community at large in fulfilling its goal of having the most up-to-date and accurate information on its website. The Board of Trustees of The BMHOF are always seeking persons who would like to join the fun and volunteer their time at any of its functions or programs or that are interested in helping them grow through board membership and/or sponsorship opportunities. Information and inquiries can be sent to info@bmhof.org.
