Robert Kinkel
BMHOF Class of 2007
Receiving his early musical training singing
in a choir in his hometown of Williamsville, Robert Kinkel
continued his education singing in choirs and playing in
Williamsville school bands until he attended Hamilton College
where he attained his degree in music, studying composition,
piano and organ. Having taken a
job as an assistant engineer on production at The Record Plant
Studios in NYC, Robert quickly worked his way up to become an
independent session keyboardist and writer, and eventually
pioneered a technique of sound design that he used as a
producer. The numbers of commercial jingles he wrote and played
on are legion. After playing
keyboards and doing orchestrations for the "Savatage" album
"Hall of the Mountain King", Robert moved out in front as a
member of the creative team for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra,
finally serving as Musical Director for all albums, TV shows and
concerts for the wildly popular international group. |
