The David Allen Show was
first broadcast on January 13th, 1991 on Channel 32 to over 100,000 households.
Today the show is reaching over a million households with ages ranging
from 10 to 45. In 1997, David Allen received one of the highest honors
of his broadcasting career - the 25th anniversary Black Achievers in Industry
Awards from 1490 Enterprises coming of the impressive National Nomination
from Billboard Magazine in 1996. His show consists of local and national
artists mixed with music videos, interviews and promotions as well. David's
show airs on Monday at 4 p.m., Thursday 11 p.m. and Friday at 6 p.m. on
Channel 18. The David Allen Show appears on BSCTV2 on Buffalo State College
Campus. With its increasing popularity, the show is reaching new horizons,
taking on new challenges and expanding to commercial television. It's not
only exciting and captivating, but leaves for more, while aiding in the
appreciation of our culture and history dilemmas.
Former Buffalo Common Council
member, Byron Brown, now State Senator appeared on the show to present
a proclamation to David Allen declaring February 3rd as David Allen Day.
The show notes that one of it's goals is to provide an incentive to detach
our youth from the streets and focus on self-advancement.
Home-grown talent, David
Allen is also an on-air personality at WBLK Radio and he is dedicated to
combining radio and television, to showcase the best in local talent and
pride, self-awareness and giving back to the community are things that
he strongly believes in. |
