Hound Dog Lorenz brought rock and roll to Buffalo and the Eastern U.S. Some contend he was more instrumental than Alan Freed in introducing rock and roll to radio. His contributions actually made Buffalo a finalist in being the host city for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
